Michael LaDisa

Piano Instructor & Learning Coach

Michael LaDisa is a music educator specializing in delivering premium online piano lessons for students of all ages throughout the United States and beyond. Michael emphasizes a linguistic approach to music education, which partners ear training with equal value to score reading in developing whole musicianship.

Michael completed his undergraduate music training at the University of North Texas where he studied Music Theory & Composition. Michael also holds a Master's degree from Moody Theological Seminary where he studied Intercultural & Urban Studies.

As a former content specialist for the prominent online piano platform PianoWithJonny.com, Michael LaDisa has authored over 175 educational blogs on popular piano styles including jazz, blues, pop, gospel, funk and R&B.

 

Michael LaDisa is also the former Music & Gospel Arts Manager for The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago where he developed extracurricular music programs for students of all ages from toddlers to senior citizens. His educational work has been featured on WGN-TV Evening NewsFox 32 Good Day and WVON 1690AM radio.

Outside the field of music education, Michael LaDisa has over two decades of experience in music ministry and regularly performs as a solo pianist. He is known for his smooth contemporary piano style which features rich introspective harmonies inspired by impressionist composers and contemporary gospel musicians.
